I was born in Istanbul in 1962 and am an Austrian citizen. I finished the Austrian High School Sankt Georgs Kolleg Istanbul in 1981.
Between 1983 – 1989, I attended the Sports Academy of the University of Innsbruck. Further, I studied International Business Affairs from 1989 to 1991 at the same university. I speak Turkish, German, English and Italian. My business life started in 1994 at Hakan Plastik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. as Foreign Business Coordinator. I left my position there in 2000.
Starting from 2000, I worked for KIIAN SpA Italy as Area Sales Manager of Turkey and Middle East until 2013.
Right after, between 2013 – 2017, I worked for Eptainks SpA Italy at the same position.
Finally, in 2017, a new journey started for me at Teknoco Digital Limited as General Manager, which is still remaining today.
I started playing football when I was in elementary school as a little kid, briefly said on the streets.
During my middle school years, I participated to training sections of BJK U16 in the old Seref Stadium and when I was at high school, I participated to the trainings of SK Fenerbahce U18. Actually my dream was to become a Professional Player like my father, who used to play for Taksim and Üsküdar Anadolu or my uncle, who used to play for Adana Milli Mensucat and Karagümrük SK. However, by following my father’s advices, I decided to complete my studies. And immediately after that, I went off to Austria for studying at uni. For this reason, my football career started in Austria as well.
During my studies, I attended one of the courses of the TVF (Tiroler Fussballverband) -a side federation of the ÖFB (Austrian Football Federation)- for football trainers and finished it by getting the B1 grade. During those days, I had the opportunity to get to know great trainers like Ernst Happel, Dieter Constantini and Wolfgang Leitensdorfer and also important players like Hansi Müller, Ivica Kalinic, Tomislav Ivkovic, Roland Hattenberger, Kurt Welzl and Bruno Pezzey.
I had to end my football career at a young age, when I was 32, since after getting married I had to move back to Istanbul.
